Make this refreshing Whipped Pink Lemonade for a creamy, sweet, and tangy summer drink. It is simple to prepare and perfect for parties or hot afternoons.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup strawberry syrup or grenadine (for color and flavor)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and extra whipped cream for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the lemonade base: In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, granulated sugar, and cold water. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. This is your tart and sweet lemonade base.
  2. Add the pink coloring: Stir in the strawberry syrup or grenadine until you achieve your desired pink color. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness if needed.
  3. Chill the base: Refrigerate the lemonade base for at least 30 minutes to make it very cold.
  4. Whip the cream: In a separate bowl, use an electric mixer to whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Do not over-whip.
  5. Assemble the drink: Fill serving glasses with ice. Pour the chilled pink lemonade base into the glasses, filling them about three-quarters full.
  6. Top with cream: Gently spoon or pipe a dollop of the whipped cream mixture onto the top of each glass.
  7. Garnish and serve: Garnish immediately with a lemon slice and a swirl of extra whipped cream, if desired. Serve right away for the best creamy texture.

Notes

  • For a natural pink color, substitute the syrup with 1/2 cup of pureed, strained strawberries or raspberries.
  • If you want a lighter drink, substitute half the water with club soda or sparkling water added just before serving.
  • This recipe makes a great party punch; scale up the base ingredients and serve the whipped topping separately for guests to add themselves.
