Create this incredibly easy and flavorful whipped feta dip in under five minutes. It is a creamy, tangy party appetizer perfect for game day or entertaining, finished with a sweet and spicy hot honey topping.

  • 8 ounces block feta cheese, drained
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste for spicy whipped feta)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the drained feta cheese, softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and black pepper into a food processor.
  2. Process the ingredients until the mixture is completely smooth, light, and airy. Stop and scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. This should take about 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and red pepper flakes to create the hot honey drizzle.
  4. Transfer the creamy whipped feta to a shallow serving dish. Use the back of a spoon to create a slight well in the center.
  5. Drizzle the hot honey mixture over the top of the dip.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios, if using.
  7. Serve immediately with pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables for a perfect party appetizer.

Notes

  • For a make-ahead dip, store the whipped feta base in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Drizzle with honey and garnish just before serving.
  • If you do not have a food processor, you can use a high-powered blender, though the texture may be slightly less airy.
  • For a roasted garlic feta dip variation, roast the garlic clove before adding it to the food processor.
