  • 4 ounces smoked salmon, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon capers, drained and chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of salt (taste first, as salmon is salty)

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese into a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add the chopped smoked salmon, fresh dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced red onion, capers (if using), and black pepper to the bowl.
  3. Use a fork or a hand mixer on low speed to combine all ingredients until the dip is smooth and creamy. Do not overmix.
