Make this simple, creamy peanut butter ice cream pie using a pre-made Oreo crust. It requires no baking and is perfect for quick summer desserts or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (9-inch) pre-made Oreo cookie crust
  • 1 (1.5 quart) container vanilla ice cream, softened slightly
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge topping, warmed
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the Oreo crust on a baking sheet and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the slightly softened vanilla ice cream and the creamy peanut butter. Mix them together until they are fully combined and smooth.
  3. Spread the peanut butter ice cream mixture evenly into the prepared Oreo crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  4. Place the pie in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
  5. When ready to serve, prepare the whipped cream topping. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  6. Spread or pipe the whipped cream topping over the frozen pie.
  7. Drizzle the warm hot fudge topping over the whipped cream layer.
  8. Sprinkle the chopped peanuts over the top for garnish.
  9. Slice and serve immediately. Freeze any leftovers.

Notes

  • For a quicker set time, place the pie in the coldest part of your freezer.
  • If you prefer a chocolate crust, you can use a graham cracker crust instead of Oreo.
  • You can substitute store-bought whipped topping for the homemade whipped cream to save time.
