Make this incredibly moist and flaky baked salmon coated in a rich honey garlic butter glaze. This simple salmon recipe is ready fast, making it perfect for weeknight meals or when you need a healthy dinner idea.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for minimal cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper to create the glaze.
  4. Spoon the honey garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet, making sure they are well coated.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from the oven. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes to slightly caramelize the glaze, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • This recipe works well for meal prep; store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • If you prefer a sheet pan meal, add asparagus or broccoli florets to the pan alongside the salmon for the last 10 minutes of baking.
