Make this easy Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna for a hands-off, cheesy comfort food dinner. Layer frozen ravioli, sauce, and cheese in your slow cooker for a hearty, family-friendly meal with minimal prep time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (24 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce, good quality
  • 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (16 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup water or broth

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until combined. This is your cheese layer.
  2. Pour 1 cup of marinara sauce into the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker and spread it evenly.
  3. Place half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
  4. Spread half of the ricotta mixture evenly over the ravioli layer.
  5. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta.
  6. Pour another 1 cup of marinara sauce over the mozzarella layer.
  7. Repeat the layers: remaining ravioli, remaining ricotta mixture, remaining mozzarella cheese.
  8. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top layer of cheese. Add the 1/2 cup of water or broth around the edges of the mixture to prevent drying.
  9. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours, or on HIGH for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the ravioli is tender and the cheese is melted.
  10. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese during the last 15 minutes of cooking, if desired.
  11. Let the Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm for a quick crock pot comfort food experience.

Notes

  • You can substitute meat sauce for marinara sauce for a heartier flavor.
  • If your ravioli is not frozen, reduce the cooking time slightly.
  • This recipe works well as a dump and go slow cooker meal; assemble it in the morning before work.
