Make these quick baked crescent appetizers using simple ingredients for a satisfying game day snack or family friendly cheese snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely diced pickled jalapeños, drained
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced jalapeños. Mix until fully incorporated. This is your cheesy filling.
  3. Unroll the can of crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into 8 triangles.
  4. Place about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture onto the wide end of each dough triangle.
  5. Roll each triangle up tightly, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point. Pinch the seams together to seal the filling inside.
  6. Place the rolled dough, seam-side down, onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops of the rolls lightly with the beaten egg wash. This helps them brown nicely.
  8. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and puffed.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • To prevent cheese from leaking out while baking, press the seams together firmly after rolling.
  • If you prefer a milder flavor, rinse the diced jalapeños under cold water before mixing them into the cheese.
  • For a richer flavor, brush the tops with melted butter immediately after they come out of the oven.
