Make easy, boozy gummies combining peppermint candy cane flavor with the heat of Fireball whiskey for an adult holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
  • 1/4 cup peppermint schnapps
  • 2 packets (0.5 oz each) unflavored gelatin
  • 1 package (6 oz) white or clear gelatin mix (like Jell-O)
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Red food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease silicone candy molds with cooking spray or oil. Wipe away excess oil with a paper towel.
  2. In a small bowl, pour the cold water and sprinkle the two packets of unflavored gelatin over the top. Let this bloom for 5 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the white or clear gelatin mix and 1/2 cup of water (taken from the total water amount if you are measuring precisely, or just use 1/2 cup water if you are not using the full cup listed above). Heat this mixture over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin powder is completely dissolved. Do not boil.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the bloomed gelatin mixture until it is fully dissolved into the hot liquid.
  5. Stir in the Fireball whisky, peppermint schnapps, and peppermint extract. If you want a stronger red color, add a few drops of red food coloring now.
  6. Carefully pour the liquid mixture into your prepared silicone molds. Work slowly to avoid creating too many air bubbles.
  7. Place the molds in the refrigerator and chill for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until the gummies are firm to the touch.
  8. Once set, carefully remove the gummies from the molds. If they stick, gently press the bottom of the mold.
  9. Store the finished candy cane fireball gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For a stronger alcohol flavor, reduce the amount of plain water used in the initial gelatin mix.
  • If you want a stronger peppermint flavor, increase the peppermint extract slightly, but taste test carefully before pouring.
  • These spiked gummy candy are best served chilled.
  • These are an easy holiday cocktail alternative for parties.
