Ingredients
Scale
2 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried dill
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 lemon, thinly sliced
Instructions
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. This helps achieve a crispier exterior.
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, dill, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Brush the herb mixture evenly over the top and sides of the salmon fillets.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overlap them.
Place 2-3 thin lemon slices on top of each fillet.
Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the top is slightly browned.
Remove carefully from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side down first and cook for 8 minutes, then flip and cook for 2-4 more minutes.
If your fillets are very thick (over 1.5 inches), you may need to reduce the temperature slightly to 380°F (195°C) to prevent the outside from burning before the inside cooks.
This recipe is naturally low carb and fits well with healthy seafood recipes air fryer searches.
